By sheer hard work, you acquired this gorgeous manor of a house with a sprawling beautifully landscaped backyard, a gazebo and a barbecue grill ? but the fun-loving side of you gets the feeling that something is noticeably not there. It doesn?t take a professional planner to figure out that a swimming pool deserves a place in a charming setting like this.

By now, you imagine that by the poolside, complete with deck furniture, you will park yourself every idle weekend, sip your morning coffee and read the Sunday paper. But then again, on most occasions, you know that your family will join you in the table for a hearty breakfast under the early sun. Afterward, it all comes to splashing in the cool swimming pool; the kids can?t wait. The lady in house can choose to get her tan while catching up on her reading.

Praying all things work well, after building a swimming pool, it will be to your delight that you have finally built your dream house. Then, by all means, build one.

Before you take a headlong plunge into building your own swimming pool, do some research work and consider what are the aspects involved with owning and maintaining a pool. Questions like: What type of pool should I have for my property? What exactly is involved when installing a backyard pool? How do I determine a budget for my project? – needs to be answered. After all, this is your dream project, not to mention a solid investment.

Before deciding on building a new swimming pool, get at least three estimates from a professional contractor. Request that you be briefed about the four basic types of swimming pools, namely: Gunite or concrete pools, Fiberglass pools, Vinyl pools and Above-ground pools. Market estimates show that Gunite is the most costly, which can run anywhere from $15,000 to $40,000 depending on the design and features, but it is also the most durable and the most stable of the four types.

The installation of a swimming pool is best performed by a contractor ? same with the pools plumbing and electrical concerns. The process can take 8 to 12 weeks to finish. Expect your back yard to be a mess until the process is finished.

On to building a Grunite swimming pool, the installation begins with the contractor excavating the pool site. A grid of rebar is then placed into the hole for reinforcement, and the Gunite is sprayed behind and over the rebar to form the walls of the pool and left to cure. To give the walls of the pool the finished look desired, a plaster or a combination aggregate is then placed over the surface. After the installation, your contractor installs a coping to secure the liner.

Your contractor will make sure that your specifications are met so do not hesitate to tell your desired decking? Do you prefer a brick or ceramic tile? A tile around the perimeter of the pool and down below the water line is suggested because it gives a clean, finished look.

Enjoy your swim?and your dream house, too.
